Centre Table made in solid Walnut with ebonised details. The top has a slate centre to match the floor, bordered by an ebony band. This is surrounded by a cream leather field with a decorative border outside. The border comprises thirty-four sample woods from around the world, arranged so that the initial letters of each spell out the names of the family members. The apron contains six drawers, the face of each inlaid with bone letters within a bone-bordered ebony lozenge, and the whole is supported on a carved solid walnut column on a swept base with ebony bun feet. The table is polished by hand to a softly patinated sheen. Although late Regency in form, the choice and combination of materials gives this table an up-to-date feel.
